Plastic Mukt Bharat

St. Thomas Convent School, Begumganj organized a meaningful awareness drive on 13th January under the theme “Plastic Mukt Bharat” to promote environmental responsibility and reduce plastic usage.

The programme aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastic on the environment and human health. Students participated enthusiastically in rallies, slogan-writing activities, and awareness speeches highlighting the importance of adopting eco-friendly alternatives.

As a step towards sustainable living, cloth bags were distributed among students and community members to encourage the use of reusable materials instead of plastic bags. The initiative reinforced the message of reducing, reusing, and recycling for a cleaner and greener future.

Teachers guided students on simple yet effective ways to minimize plastic consumption in daily life. The campaign successfully instilled a sense of environmental consciousness and social responsibility among young learners.

The event concluded with a collective pledge by students to support the vision of a “Plastic-Free India” and to actively contribute towards protecting the environment for future generations.
